Foreign-Made Dehumidifier Recall

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced recalls of 5.6 million dehumidifiers made by overseas manufacturers.

Hundreds of units manufactured by Gree have reportedly caught fire and resulted in a reported $19 million in property damage. Units manufactured by Midea have resulted in a reported $4.8 million in property damage.

f the dehumidifier was purchased between January 2005 and August 2013, it is imperative that you take these precautionary steps!

Locate the Model Number:

This will typically be found on the back, side or front of the unit on a name plate sticker.
